‘Kestrels' A photo book from El Gouna

Kestrels' is a high quality photo book featuring the birds of prey that nest every year in an alcove in a hotel in El Gouna.
It is a rare photographic diary of their lives as they hunt for prey, breed and raise their young. The photographs were taken over the past five years by resident Georgina Cole who lives directly opposite the nest.

It is the perfect Christmas gift for Gounies and bird lovers, and Georgina will be happy to sign the books with a personal message if you wish.

Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
