In celebration of International Nurses Day and the remarkable work of nurses around the world, Gouna Technical Nursing Institute (GTNI) is proud to invite you to the Institute on  Thursday, May 3 rd , 2018, from 3 pm until 5 pm , to attend a free public health assessment clinic run by our senior nursing students and nursing instructors.   The clinic will be offering checks for adults and children (from newborn to adolescent age), for height, weight and body mass index, including length and weight and circumference measurement for children, as well as, checks for diabetes, blood and pulse pressure, plus health advice and education for all ages. So come and join in the celebrations and get a free health check-up while you are there! FILE - Egyptian Parliament holds general session By:  Egypt Today Tue, Apr. 24, 2018 CAIRO – 24 April 2018: Parliament approved Article 53 regulating the penalties of harassing tourists within the draft Protection of Antiquities Law, which was finally passed on Monday without any amendments, despite some MPs’ requests to toughen the punishment measures.  Under the new law, “Unless there is a tougher penalty stipulated in any other law, whoever harasses tourists or visitors of archaeological sites or museums, with the intention of begging or promoting, offering or selling a good or service, shall be punished with a fine of not less than LE 3,000 ($169) and not more than LE 10,000.”  MP Ehab al-Tamawy called for toughening the punishment to reach a fine of LE 20,000. Minister of Antiquities Khaled El-Enani and MP Osama Heikal, head of the Culture and Media Committee in Parliament, supported Tamawy’s suggestion, but other MPs refused to increase the penalty.  Parli

Mr. Gerard awoke at 4am in Phase IV to the sound of crying. He got up and went outside and noticed a young man sobbing on a bench on the balcony of his ground floor flat. The man could only speak Malaysian and Mr. Gerard had to take him inside and decipher what he was trying to say using Google Translate on his computer.  It became apparent that the poor fellow was kept captive in a villa close by, along with another 20 Malaysians, and had been purportedly preparing to conduct an illegal call center for a bank in Malaysia and the illegal activity of forging credit cards and passports using equipment acquired for this purpose.  Mr. Gerard promptly contacted Mr. Mohamed Ayoub, Head of Gouna Security who immediately headed for the villa and rounded up the suspects. After some questioning, they were then handed over to the local Egyptian authorities who are currently pursuing their case.
