El Gouna Owners Club Announcement

The Gouna Owners Club (GOC) provides a forum for communication amongst owners of residential properties in El Gouna, both with one another and with the management of El Gouna.  

An elected Committee of 8 volunteers meets regularly with El Gouna GM Mahmoud El Baroudi and his senior staff to discuss matters of general interest to owners and to seek solutions to any issues.  Outcomes are shared through the Club’s Google Group and Facebook Page 

Among the many topics currently under discussion are financial reporting of service charges, increases in utility charges, security matters and the Orange Internet/TV service.  

Chairman, Mr Maher El Faham says, “The Committee has established a good working relationship with El Gouna management and we have seen significant successes over the past year”.

The Club also has a social function.  Approximately every two months events are arranged in local restaurants to promote community spirit and friendships amongst residents, whether Club members or not.  Many local outlets (restaurants, clubs and shops) have agreed to offer members of GOC an additional 10% discount on presentation of the Club Card in addition to the discount offered to holders of El Gouna Owners cards.

Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
