El Gouna to Open Beaches Saturday 27 June

Dear Valued Homeowners and Residents, Hope this finds you in good health, in accordance to the Prime Ministers announcement we would like to inform you of the following changes effective  Saturday the 27 th  of June .  El Gouna Gates will be open 24 hrs. Retail outlets will be open  until 9:00 pm  except for supermarkets, grocery stores & pharmacies which can operate for 24 hrs. El Gouna Mosque and Church will be open for daily prayers but not for Friday prayers and Sunday Mass.  Public Transportation will stop  at 12 am . Notary office in El Gouna will begin operating as of  Sunday the 28 th  from 10 am until 2 pm . Beaches and lagoons will open from sunrise to sunset.   The following activities have been given the green light to start operating once they fulfill the necessary requirements as stipulated by the authorities: El Gouna restaurants and cafes will be allowed to open for dine in while working at a 25% capacity and closing...

Ancient Roman Fort Near El Gouna Researched

Lost in time Since I was a kid I have loved history. When visiting historical sites, I imagined how it must have been in the old days, the fact that I stood where knights, soldiers, even kings once lived fascinated me. I wondered how day to day life was for the ordinary folk; the ones that didn't make the history books by name. So imagine my excitement when I stumbled upon an ancient site right here in El Gouna! The Fortress of Abu Sha'ar.  Once one of the three most important coastal ports of the Red Sea, along Qusier (Myos Hermos) and Berenike. The Abu Sha'ar Fort was erected in the late Roman era, possibly rebuilt, around 309-311 AD and initially used for military purposes to monitor the trade routes through the surrounding desert and coastal movements, but had possibly also an economic purpose. A selection of  El Gouna restaurants are now ready to welcome and serve you: The Marina Steakhouse, Tandoor Indian Restaurant and The Kitchen Club at Casa Cook El Gouna. In addition to strictly following all hygiene and cleanliness measures, we have taken further steps to ensure you enjoy a carefree experience with us. Placemats are being disposed and replaced after each use, tables and chairs are being disinfected after each use, and seating spaces have been revised to ensure a distance of 2 meters between each party.  No more printed menus. El Gouna Hospital Hosts COVID-19 Laboratory Testing

The El Gouna Hospital laboratory managed by NSA laboratories , has got Ministry Of Health  (MOH) approval to perform all ranges of COVID-19 Testing: PCR, Antibody IgG IgM by Abbott, Inflammatory Markers, Clotting Marker D-Dimer.   Based upon this approval, Gouna Hospital management moved forward on installing a specially dedicated lab for COVID-19 only, using the highest standard worldwide, putting into consideration the following: Sampling PPE kits, using a highly isolated overall, with special goggles to protect both the patient and the sampler As per the techniques used Gouna hospital installed a highly advanced clean room laboratory to avoid contamination of the samples , the area and the biotechnologist performing the test All results will be delivered written and stamped and the MOH will be daily informed by the number of tested patients Operating hours : 9am to 9pm Tel: internal 32222 To return to Gouna News - Press Here
