El Gouna to Open Beaches Saturday 27 June


Dear Valued Homeowners and Residents,

Hope this finds you in good health, in accordance to the Prime Ministers announcement we would like to inform you of the following changes effective Saturday the 27th of June.
  •  El Gouna Gates will be open 24 hrs.
  • Retail outlets will be open until 9:00 pm except for supermarkets, grocery stores & pharmacies which can operate for 24 hrs.
  • El Gouna Mosque and Church will be open for daily prayers but not for Friday prayers and Sunday Mass.
  •  Public Transportation will stop at 12 am.
  • Notary office in El Gouna will begin operating as of Sunday the 28th from 10 am until 2 pm.
  • Beaches and lagoons will open from sunrise to sunset.
 
The following activities have been given the green light to start operating once they fulfill the necessary requirements as stipulated by the authorities:
  • El Gouna restaurants and cafes will be allowed to open for dine in while working at a 25% capacity and closing at 10 PM, delivery and take away services can operate for 24hrs.  Shisha service will not be allowed in any of the locations.
  • Land sports activities such as squash, tennis, motto club and football court.
  • Water activities such as kite surfing, cable park and diving centers.
  • Gyms and spas will be allowed to open with a 25% capacity.

It remains to be advisable not to leave your home except for the following reasons to limit the potential spread of the virus. If you have to go outside you must stay more than 1.5 m apart from other individuals
  • To exercise either alone, or with members of your household.
  • To Shop for basic necessities, noting that there are several supermarkets & pharmacies that deliver to your home.
  • Travel to or from work, only where this is absolutely necessary.
  • Preferably, avoid inviting others to your home.
  • We urge you not to swim in the public pools around El Gouna.
  • Older adults and people of any age with underlying medical conditions maybe at a higher risk so it is advisable that they limit their social interaction and stay at home.
We would like to remind you that the “No Mask No entry policy” will remain implemented at the supermarkets, pharmacies, the grocery store, retail outlets, banks, Orascom Development offices and public transportation. It is also advisable to wear face masks in taxis and cars if you are being accompanied by non-household members.
