We are proudly announcing the Launch of our new project “Aquaman Challenge”, to be the First Ever swimming obstacle course in Egypt organized by @boost.egypt under the auspices of the ministry of youth and sports and the Egyptian modern pentathlon federation, Taking place at @elgounaredsea on the 25th of June 2021. Aquaman is a Team Challenge not an Individual Race. It will be 3 or 5 team members enjoying the journey together to conquer the inflatable obstacles, boosting the team spirit and mentality with all athletic levels in all age categories. A new Covid-19 test is being offered at El Gouna Hospital. It is the ID NOW by Abbott  COVID 19 test ; it works on the DNA & RNA of the virus.  It is a Nasopharyngeal swab,  that gives the same result as the PCR, but faster, because the test can be done individually and not in batches.  Less accurate than the gold standard PCR, this test is most  often used in confirmatory situations (e.g.  a negative test in persons with symptoms or a positive test in persons without symptoms).   It is suitable for travel when in a hurry, however it is best to check first with the destination country to be assured they accept this rapid test. Many El Gouna residents received appointment notifications by SMS to come down to Hurghada Al Ahyaa district to receive their first jab of the Covid-19 vaccine.  Those who received the notification had previously registered on the Ministry of Health and Population website  that began accepting registrations February 28, 2021.  Priority had been given to workers in the health sector, the elderly and those with pre existing conditions. The web site allows candidates to specify the preferred location of their appointment  Many El Gouna residents were given appointments beginning the week of March 28.
