Following the successful Kick off exhibition presenting the creative minds from Cairo and El Gouna at the Mother’s day weekend, El Gouna Culture Design Days

is getting ready for the 2nd  edition to be held during Easter and Sham El Nessim. Fashion, interior design and architecture will be presented in the heart of Dawar El Omda hotel  organized by feelEgypt in partnership with Orascom Hotels Management & Zamalek Art Gallery.

Shahira Fahmy, the prominent Interior designer & Founder of Mix and Match fashion brand, will present her story of how her passion of cultural heritage has influenced her work. Ahmed El Magraby the renowned Architect and the Founder of El Magraby Design House, will be giving a lecture on the international Architectural movement to promote health, walkability and well-being in designing new cities and how he has applied this in his designs for buildings in the “CITY OF ART AND CULTURE” in the Cairo New Administrative City. Lastly, the life coach Nevin Elgendy, the bestselling author of  “Be” and the person behind the “creative truck” will present innovative concepts about life.

Join them daily from Friday 30th April to Monday 3rd of May 2021, and immerse yourself in a world of innovation, creativity, interesting talks and book signing daily after Iftar.

El Gouna is graced with a beautiful location on the Red Sea and founders of the town have thankfully incorporated two marinas into its design and expansion.  Gouna News approached Ms. Marta Prusiz, Administrative Assistant Manager at Orascom Marine Management to learn more and we have compiled the following Frequently Asked Questions that Ms. Prusiz gracefully answered.  What are names of the marinas? Text and photography by Gabriel Mikhail     I n Egypt’s   Eastern Desert, where Gouna is located,   there is a great variety of indigenous trees and  shrubs which have adapted to this region ’s hot and arid conditions.    Desert gardens  have become fashionable in many hot and arid climates around the world. Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
