El Gouna Management Studies Consequences of EGP Devaluation

Dear Community Members, 

Further to the important events that took place on March 21st, 2022 where the exchange rate for the Egyptian Pound was significantly modified, El Gouna Management is still in the process of assessing the impact onto the upkeep of our beloved town. We are also on the lookout to see whether the government will announce soon a change in policy when it comes to the prices of oil derivatives as oil prices soar on the international market. 

We consider this hyperinflation a serious challenge that affects all sides of life and consequently of course the way we charge for services rendered. However, we pledge that we will ignore the change should the study prove the impact on our operations can be weathered.

Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants.
