Breaking News: Massive Fire at El Gouna Film Festival Site

 Sirens are heard wailing in Gouna this morning as fire trucks rush to the site to put out a fire at the GFF site. Extra fire trucks brought in from Hurghada. A plume of smoke was seen over el gouna……


The fire is now out. 


Around 7 fire engines and 5 ambulances are at the scene and police, so are onlookers. El Gouna security has closed off roads leading to Festival Hall.

Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
