Community Care Announcement on Burglaries

 

Dear Community Members,  We are writing to you today in regard to the emails several concerned members had sent to Security and Community Care about a surge in thefts in El Gouna. The Security Department has significantly intensified efforts and we are happy to report that they were successful in identifying/neutralizing two thieves who confessed to many cases that were previously reported, (one living in Hurghada was arrested thanks to information that Security relayed to Hurghada Police). The stolen goods that were found in their caches were restituted to their rightful owners.  Although El Gouna has low theft rate, El Gouna Management has no tolerance in that respect and will spare no action to keep it as near to zero as possible. As such, and in an effort to increase further security, Town is expediting the installation of CCTV cameras all over El Gouna.  You, as members, are at the forefront in this fight against theft. We recommend that you ensure all doors and windows are locked properly when you are not at home, and bicycles are stored and/or chained when outside.
