Customer Services Announce Eid el Adha Guidelines and Regulations


Dear Valued Homeowners and Residents,


Hope this announcement finds you safe and in good health,
 
The safety of our community is our top priority and to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience during the Eid holidays we would like to share the precautionary measures that will continue to be implemented throughout the town.
 
  • All individuals coming through El Gouna gates will have their temperature checked.
  • For restaurants cafes and bars, a 50% capacity is implemented and closing time will be at 12 am, delivery and takeout services can operate afterwards. For indoor outlets, all customers have to wear masks unless they are seated at their table. Staff members will be required to wear masks at all times, sanitizers will be available to customers and all outlets will be following the Ministry of health and Ministry of Tourism regulations.
  • The “No Mask No entry policy” will remain implemented at the supermarkets, pharmacies, grocery stores, retail outlets, banks, Orascom Development offices and public transportation.
  • All tuk tuk drivers will be wearing masks when customers are on board. It is also advisable to wear a mask in transportation if you are being accompanied by non-household members.
 
We would also like to share this refresher about some of the Rules and Regulations.
Boating and Lagoon Rules:
  • Jet Skis are banned from the whole Red Sea “which includes all El Gouna Lagoons” as per the Red Sea Governor instructions.
  • Wake-boarding is only allowed in designated lagoons (Ancient Sands & Phase 5).
  • Speed limit inside all El Gouna lagoons and marina is max 5kts.
  • As per current Coast Guard’s regulations – access to boats leaving to sea trips will be limited to boat owners and their families only.
  • Boats are strictly forbidden from tying together, please maintain a safe distance with other boats while at anchor.
 General Rules and Regulations:
  • All motor vehicles are to abide by the indicated parking spots and not park on pavements, public passages or roads.
  • Driving of cars, buggies or other motorized vehicles for people under the age of 18 is prohibited.
  • The speed limit is set to 60km/h on paved roads and 40km/h on dirt roads.
  • It is prohibited to drive under the influence of alcohol for your own safety and others. Any violation is punishable by law.
  • Keep the music volume to a minimum; loud disturbing music is prohibited on public roads.
  • Off-roading is prohibited.
  • Any passenger on a motorcycle should be wearing their helmet at all times.
  • All bicycles are to abide to cycling lane and follow traffic rules and signs.
  • Do not block any of the special needs ramps, bike lanes & parking areas.
  • Park in designated areas and respect no parking zones.
  • keep your dogs on leash at all times.
  • Respect your neighbors by keep music down.
  • Help keep El Gouna clean by throwing garbage in designated areas.

We also want to remind everyone of COVID-19 guidelines during your stay in El Gouna.
  • If you have to go outside you must stay more than 1.5 m apart from other individuals
  • Preferably, avoid inviting others to your home.
  • Older adults and people of any age with underlying medical conditions maybe at a higher risk so it is advisable that they limit their social interaction and stay at home.
  • Wear a face mark in public areas, in public transportation and in taxis.
