El Gouna Customer Services Provides COVID-19 Update

Dear Valued Homeowners and Residents,
Hope this announcement finds you well and safe,
In accordance with the recent Prime Minister’s announcement regarding COVID-19 precautionary measures, we would like to notify you on what will be implemented as of Saturday 30th of May till Saturday 13th of June;
- El Gouna’s gates will be closed during the updated curfew hours starting 8 pm until 6 am the following day.
- All retail outlets will be opened till 5 pm with the exception of Supermarkets, Grocery stores & Pharmacies.
- Beaches, sports activities and the fish farm, will remain closed.
- Restaurants, cafes and bars will remain closed and will only operate delivery & take away.
Additionally, we would like to remind you No Mask No entry policy is implemented at the supermarkets, pharmacies, and the grocery store, retail outlets, banks, Orascom offices and public transportation, it is also advised to wear face masks in taxis and cars if you are being accompanied by non-household members.
We would like to remind you that there are several restaurants that offer a home delivery service for your convenience, you will find more details on delivery schedules and phone numbers on our social media platforms. It remains to be advisable not to leave your home except for the following reasons to limit the potential spread of the virus. If you have to go outside you must stay more than 1.5 m apart from other individuals
- To exercise either alone, or with members of your household.
- To Shop for basic necessities, noting that there are several supermarkets & pharmacies that deliver to your home.
- Travel to or from work, only where this is absolutely necessary.
- Preferably, avoid inviting others to your home.
- We urge you not to swim in the public pools around El Gouna.
- Older adults and people of any age with underlying medical conditions maybe at a higher risk so it is advisable that they limit their social interaction and stay at home.
In case of experiencing any respiratory symptoms, fever, cough or difficulty breathing, please reach out to El Gouna hospital on the following extension numbers 32222, 32201, 32202.

Please be advised that the Red Sea Governorate has announced the following measure during the upcoming Eid holiday from Sunday 24th May till Friday 29thMay 2020:
- Beaches and water sports activities such as snorkeling, diving, kite centers and windsurfing centers in addition to glass bottom boats remain restricted until further notice.
- The use of leisure boats and boat rentals will be permitted with the following conditions:
- Boats will be allowed to leave at 6am and return at latest 4pm to the marina.
- Boat rentals will operate with 25% of licensed carrying capacity.
- It is strictly forbidden for boats to tie together at sea as penalties will apply including and not limited to apply a fine, cancelling boat license and cancelling skipper and crew licenses.
We would like to remind you of some of the guidelines to reduce risk of catching COVID-19 virus while boating:
- Boats are strictly forbidden from tying together, please maintain a safe distance with other boats while at anchor.
- It is highly recommended to boat only with those in your immediate household - no guest should be taken onboard including family members not in your immediate household or your closest boating buddies.
- Speed limit inside all El Gouna lagoons and marinas is Max 5 knots.
- Go straight from the house to the boat and back - no unnecessary contact with anyone.
- Take off the shoes and use hand sanitizers just before entering the boat. It is also recommended for the crew to change their clothes into clean uniforms onboard, especially if they travelled to work from outside El Gouna with public transport.
- Disinfect all supplies (groceries etc.) at the dock before bringing onboard.
- Clean and disinfect frequently all touched objects and surfaces onboard.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Coast Guard rules for daily trips remain the same. For the boats with crew living outside El Gouna - please consider returning to marina early enough to give your crew sufficient time to return home before curfew.
