Intersections Upgraded

A welcome upgrade to the once dangerous two intersections opposite the Gouna Hospital and G-Space have been completed.

With the upgrade, traffic is now segregated. Cars or Tok Toks can no longer dangerously meet face to face, or ram each other from the side as they enter downtown, from Mohamed Kamel Street, the main road that goes north to Marina.

From now on, traffic flows in one direction. Only right turns are feasible at these intersections.

Moreover, permanent median reflective stakes have been installed in the middle of the main road, replacing the temporary orange cones.

Still to come, hopefully, are zebra crossing black and white stripes on the ground, to designate where pedestrians are to cross. There is adequate room in the design to delineate those crossing points.

Moreover, flowers have been planted in the islands, giving a prettier look to the roads.
