Artists’ Day at El Gouna Park

Starting 12 pm

Bring your pencils, pads, crayons, brushes, paints, sewing basket, or camera and enjoy a fun and relaxed day discovering your artistic talents among the beautiful nature at El Gouna Park.

We will be welcoming special guest Ginnie Anne, Freelance Art Tutor, who studied Art/Printed Textiles at University of East London

Bring drinks and snacks, or a full picnic if you wish. 

Small entrance fee of 30 EGP payable to El Gouna Park attendant.

Bird ID cards will be available if you wish to do some bird spotting for your artistic inspiration.

This is a fun and informal event organised by residents to gather and inspire artistic talent in the Red Sea.

El Gouna is graced with a beautiful location on the Red Sea and founders of the town have thankfully incorporated two marinas into its design and expansion.  Gouna News approached Ms. Marta Prusiz, Administrative Assistant Manager at Orascom Marine Management to learn more and we have compiled the following Frequently Asked Questions that Ms. Prusiz gracefully answered.  What are names of the marinas? Text and photography by Gabriel Mikhail     I n Egypt’s   Eastern Desert, where Gouna is located,   there is a great variety of indigenous trees and  shrubs which have adapted to this region ’s hot and arid conditions.    Desert gardens  have become fashionable in many hot and arid climates around the world. Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
