Construction Begins on New Conference and Cultural Center

El Gouna is delighted to announce that El Gouna has inaugurated construction of El Gouna Conference and Culture Center. The scale of ancient Egyptian architecture was a guiding factor in the conceptualization of the scheme, with the purpose of making it the most spectacular and memorable culture center. The conference center will be the second phase of the cultural complex that includes a concert hall, a plaza, and monumental colonnades.


 The vision behind the Gouna Conference and Culture Center – which will be located in the proximity of TUB – is to create a landmark iconic destination that will be a unique conference center and cultural hub in El Gouna. Besides, El Gouna Film Festival and the squash tournament will be hosted in Gouna Conference and Culture Center by 2020.

It is worth mentioning that the concert hall is expected to seat 600 persons and a 120-musician orchestra; audience will enjoy a music typology that includes; Classical, Traditional Arabic and Opera. The conference center will be equipped with an auditorium seating 2000 persons, meeting rooms and VIP rooms to host seminars and conferences from across the globe.

Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
