British Ambassador Visits El Gouna




The British Ambassador to the Arabic Republic of Egypt, H.E. Sir Geoffrey Adams, visited El Gouna to meet all the British passport holders on Sunday 12th May at Kiki's Restaurant and Pool Bar, Fenadir Hotel, in the north marina basin.

This was an informal gathering for the Brits to ask any questions anyone wished to ask.


Also attending was Regional Consul, John Neil, Pro Consul, Yvette Keriakos, and British Honorary Consul in Hurghada, John Kenny.

The British Embassy provided a light finger buffet, and kind British sponsors MEPM Property, and  Sunseeker London assisted with the budget for refreshments during the event.


The British Ambassador also met with the Red Sea Governor General Ahmed Abdullah in Hurghada, to discuss enhancing their cooperation, and to increase the numbers of British tourists visiting Egypt.

A visit was also made to Sheikh Mauri and the Bedouins of the Mazza tribe, to discuss increasing tourism to the new Red Sea Mountain Trail.

Sir Geoffrey Adams' father, Sir Philip Adams, was also the British Ambassador to Egypt in 1972 to 1975.
