Breast Cancer Awareness Session

The Gouna Technical Nursing Institute is pleased to invite you to a Breast Cancer awareness session by Dr. Hanan Gewefel, M.D., European Board of Breast Imaging.

 Get the chance to network, have some coffee and refreshments with El Gouna ladies community!

The session will be held Saturday 30th of March at 12pm at the institute which is situated right next to El Gouna Hospital; (kindly find a map to the institute below). Doors open 11:30am.

Dr. Hanan Gewefel, CEO of WAFI Clinic for Women's Imaging and Health Care, is a senior consultant of Breast Imaging. She is also a lecturer at the faculty of applied medical sciences at Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST).

Text and photography by Gabriel Mikhail     I n Egypt’s   Eastern Desert, where Gouna is located,   there is a great variety of indigenous trees and  shrubs which have adapted to this region ’s hot and arid conditions.    Desert gardens  have become fashionable in many hot and arid climates around the world. Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
