 We are excited to announce the second edition of El Gouna Film Festival, which will take place from Thursday, September 20th, 2018 to Friday, September 28th, 2018.

During this period, there will be several activities and great movies to watch in different cinema venues around El Gouna. Please check the attached Ticketing Info.

We would like to share with you some general information about this upcoming glamorous event.

Please note, that the opening and closing ceremonies are private events, exclusive to the Film industry communities from all over the world. Access to these red carpet events is managed entirely by El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) organizers. 

Information on other events and parties, will be handled by GFF Team.

During the film festival period, nightlife venues working hours will be extended for an extra hour. 

We are also expecting many private parties, by celebrities and film makers in different residential areas.

El Gouna is graced with a beautiful location on the Red Sea and founders of the town have thankfully incorporated two marinas into its design and expansion.  Gouna News approached Ms. Marta Prusiz, Administrative Assistant Manager at Orascom Marine Management to learn more and we have compiled the following Frequently Asked Questions that Ms. Prusiz gracefully answered.  What are names of the marinas? Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
