Pedestrian Bridge Connects Downtown

If you haven’t been downtown in the last two weeks, you will have missed a relatively significant development in downtown’s topography. Where the plaza meets the pedestrian walkzone had always been a little chaotic, with people negotiating the high pavements and dropping into the ‘intersection’ to cross. ‘Tucxis’ would idle, dropping off their passengers, or stalk their next fare. All that is now history, as Gouna’s own ‘spaghetti junction’ has taken shape: A wooden bridge over a lowered road, connecting the south and north sections of downtown. You can see how it looks, thanks to the excellent pictures taken by Georgina Cole below.
