Tombola Winner Drives Away on a Vespa

The New Year celebrations were especially sweet for Monica Zorzoli Blanc, the Swiss National, who was the Grand Prize Winner at the Arts and Fleas Market Tombola, January 1st, 2017.

 The Market and the Tombola were held in the El Gouna Abu Tig Marina Plaza. The lucky winner had earlier bought the 30 EGP ticket that was drawn live at the end of the market, as the sun set on the first full day of 2017. 

 Monica became the happy owner of a brand new crème Vespa scooter. 

 Over 30 prizes had been given out by sponsors : Motorbike Glasses, Diving lessons, Dinners, Hotel Stays, Fashion Items, Air tour of El Gouna, and much more. 

 Thanks goes to the energetic Alexia Schouten and Salli Khamis for organizing the events. 

 Arts & Fleas is an art, fashion, vintage and artisanal food market that is held occasionally in different parts of El Gouna.

Native plants  use less water  and  insecticides, feed the local wildlife such as birds, are authentic in their setting, show  sensitivity to the environment  and some are used as medicinal plants.    From earliest times the Ancient Egyptians were renowned for their knowledge of medicinal plants. The Papyrus Ebers, an Egyptian medical papyrus of herbal knowledge (c. 1550 B.C.), compiled about  900  remedies, mostly plants, were being used by physicians.
