Terminal 2 opens at Hurghada International Airport
Egypt Today July 30, 2019 1:17 pm Egypt’s Minister of Aviation Younes al-Masri opened Terminal 2 at Hurghada International Airport of the Red Sea Governorate following the completion of all development and construction works, which included increasing the terminal capacity and efficiency. The terminal contains 11 departure gates connected to the airplanes by direct bridges, nine departure gates connected to the remote airplanes by buses, 72 reservation counters for the registration of departures and receipt of luggage, two counters for large luggage services, 18 counters to document the passports of outgoing passengers and 16 counters to document the passports of incoming passengers. The terminal includes an automatic luggage transfer system with six conveyor belts to carry passengers’ baggage and nine electric conveyor belts to receive incoming passengers’ baggage.
